What We Do
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville has cared for families of critically ill, chronically ill and injured children for more than 28 years. Families from throughout Florida, across the United States, and from around the world come to the world-class medical facilities in Jacksonville seeking exceptional medical treatment for their child.
Thanks to wonderful support from our community, our Ronald McDonald House Charities of Jacksonville has offered a “home-away-from-home” to more than 33,000 families while their child has received medical care at Jacksonville’s excellent hospitals and clinics. In addition to providing a comfortable bedroom, we provide our families with love and support from our volunteers, staff and other guest families who share the same hopes and fears. We also provide home-cooked meals, activities, indoor and outdoor play areas, laundry facilities, computers and WiFi, and much more so that our families can concentrate on what is most important – getting their children well!
Beyond the cornerstone program of Ronald McDonald House, we serve local families and visitors by providing the Ronald McDonald Family Room at Wolfson Children’s Hospital.
